Calling all Artists, Benefactors, and Community Members
The Paseo Artists Association’s (PAA) annual membership drive starts in January each year. PAA is a non-profit organization managed by artists, benefactors, and supporters. It was established to foster and maintain an environment for artistic growth in the community. PAA provides the opportunity for cultural exchange between artists and the public through events, galleries, performances, festivals, and educational programming.
Dedicated volunteers and artists from across the state have worked toward improvement of the Paseo Arts Festival on Memorial Day Weekend and other events including: Midsummer Evening, First Friday Gallery Walks, Paris on Paseo and more. These events have components for children, outreach to other artists, and educational programming. The new Paseo Art Space at 3022 Paseo is available for rent by the month and will host special, juried exhibitions.
We want the Historic Paseo Arts District to have a positive impact on the urban art experience and to provide a place where all can enjoy the arts, learn about creating art, and have a congenial environment for people who love the arts. In addition to the visual arts, we are emphasizing music and performing arts in all our events planning; several new programs are in the planning stages for 2007 and 2008.
