Calling all Artists, Benefactors, and Community Members
These are exciting times for the Paseo Arts Association. During 2010 extraordinary achievements were realized including:
- The Paseo was named one of the Top 10 Neighborhoods in the United States by the American Planning Association due in large part to its vibrant arts community
- The first full-time Executive Director was hired to lead high-level program and fundraising initiatives to further enhance the creative experience in the Paseo and Oklahoma City
- Four new galleries opened and renovation started on the Paseo Plunge
- Partnerships were formed with Edgemere Elementary and Harding Fine Arts Academy that resulted in highly publicized community art projects
In addition, The Paseo received a special recognition from the City of Oklahoma City
and increases were realized in membership and attendance at the Paseo Arts Festival, children’s events such as the Faerie Ball and Magic Lantern, and the Annual Artist Awards Banquet.
Now more than ever people need the escape that the arts provide, and that comes at a cost. We have a great deal to be thankful for, but we have not been immune to the current economic state. We are writing today to ask for your help by giving a tax-deductible year-end gift to the Paseo Arts Association.
This year we are celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Paseo Arts Festival and the opening of The Paseo Plunge as well as presenting a number of creative public art programs. With your support the Paseo Arts Association will continue to thrive and bring the quality art experience Oklahoma residents so deeply deserve.
