2012 PASEO ARTS ASSOCIATION
MEMBER SHOW "ART OF THE HEART"
The Paseo Arts Association is proud to partner with the Oklahoma Heart Hospital for this year’s member’s show. The February 3 First Friday opening happens to be National Wear Red Day – a day when everyone is asked to wear red to raise awareness about women and heart disease. Works of art will be selected to hang in the Paseo Art Space AND in the lobbies of BOTH Heart Hospitals. Therefore, we will accept more entries than ever into the show. A press conference will be held the morning of February 3 on the South Campus of the hospital and they will host the reception that evening in the Paseo Art Space. Don’t miss this opportunity!
Theme: ”ART OF HEART” – Use of red in your piece is encouraged but not required.
Specifications:
Open to all 2D and 3D work of any media. The size limitation for 2D work is 40 inches in any direction, including the frame; and 3D work is a maximum of 40 inches wide and 5 feet tall. Size limitations will be enforced. Work presented for the exhibition MUST BE READY for display on wall, floor or pedestal.
Deadline:
January 21 at 5pm. Deliver to Paseo Art Space; 3022 Paseo, between noon-5pm, January 18-21.
Eligibility:
Must be a member of the Paseo Arts Association. If you are not a member you can Join Today or sign up when you drop off your entries.
Awards: Best of Show $200;
Five Awards of Merit, $100 each
Jurors:
Mary Jo Watson, PhD., Director of the School of Art and Art History, Regents’ Professor of Art and Art History at the University of Oklahoma, and Curator of Native American Art at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art at the University of Oklahoma.
Jeff Beekman, Asst. Professor of Foundations, University of Oklahoma will be assisting Dr. Watson. Jeff graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico with a MFA in 3D/Ceramics. He teaches Drawing, 2D & 3D design and has curated numerous art shows across the country.
Entry Procedure:
Artist may submit up to three works for a non-refundable fee of $15. Complete and follow the instructions on the attached form. Deliver work to: Paseo Art Space, 3022 Paseo between noon-5pm January 18-21. Your name, contact information, title, media and price must be securely attached to each piece.

Sales:
PAA retains 20% commission on all works sold. All work must be for sale.

All reasonable precautions will be taken to assure the safety of the work in our care. Neither PAA nor any agent will be responsible for any damage or loss. Entry to the exhibition constitutes agreement to all conditions of this prospectus.
