 "HOLD IT" THE 2010 CONTAINER SHOW |
JURIED EXHIBITION

Theme
Inspired and sponsored by artist Michi Susan, this Paseo Arts Association juried
exhibition CHALLENGES artists to create a mixed media, three-dimensional container of some type. The judge will look at originality and how well the artist interprets the idea of a container.
Specifications
Open to all 3D work of any media; the work must include at least two disparate media. The size limitation is up to 48” in any direction. Size limitations will be enforced. Work presented for the exhibition must be ready for display on wall or pedestal.
Eligibility
Artists in Oklahoma 18 years and older.
Awards
Best of Show $350
Two awards of merit at $150
Two Honorable Mention Awards at $100
Juror will assign awards.
Juror
Jeff Stokes grew up in Oklahoma and received a B.F.A. from Oklahoma State University in 1990, and an M.F.A. in painting from Wichita State University in 2004. Stokes has curated numerous contemporary art exhibits in Kansas and Oklahoma museums and galleries, as well as showing his own sculpture, drawings and paintings in Kansas, Oklahoma and New York. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Individual Artists of Oklahoma.
Entry Procedure
Entries will be selected from
ACTUAL work. Artist may submit up to two pieces for a non-refundable fee of $20 for Paseo Arts Association members or $25 for non-members.
Work is to be delivered to the Paseo Art Space, 3022 Paseo, Oklahoma City, between Wednesday, October 20 and Saturday, October 23, 12 - 4pm. Work not juried into the exhibition must be picked up Saturday, October 30 or Wednesday, November 3,
12 - 4pm. You will be notified by email or phone.
Sales
PAA retains 30% commission on all works sold. Price accordingly. All work must be for sale.
Liability
All reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of the work in our care. Neither PAA nor any agent will be responsible for any damage or loss. Entry to the exhibition constitutes agreement to all conditions of this prospectus.
