Donna Berryhill, a beloved and highly accomplished Oklahoma artist, passed away in 1997. Knowing how much others have enjoyed her art; Donna’s family is giving the public an opportunity to purchase art from the family collection.
Below are Donna’s words about her creative process:
I try to create an environment of beauty and personal expression in each of my works - whether it is acrylics on canvas or paper, mixed media, watercolor, or print making. I don’t attempt to make a political or social statement, but allow the reviewer to arrive at his or her own meaning of my work.
I love to experiment with different ways of expressing my creativity – I find figurative painting the most satisfying to me. The painting process always brings with it surprises and new possibilities. My favorite paintings develop entirely from happenings within the process itself. |
