THE MAGICAL FAIRY BALL ON PASEO |

How shall we beguile the lazy summer, if not with some delight?
In answer to this question, the Fairy Ball on Paseo offers a summer delight for children, parents and friends of all ages. Everyone is invited to Paseo for this annual creative evening of make believe, music, and dance on
Saturday, September 15th from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M.
StarDanceSwan’s Fairy Ball on Paseo is a dress-up event where anyone who is young at heart is encouraged to come to the ball dressed as a character from an enchanted garden. This eagerly awaited evening is a favorite with children who begin making their costumes at home and add finishing touches at the Fairy Ball. Imagination lights up when children gather at the ball dressed as bugs, blossoms, elves, fairies and magical creatures. All together, in costume, children capture the magic of a summer garden by bringing color and laughter to life.
The Fairy Ball begins with flowers as children weave their costumes with flowers, leaves and streamers. At dusk shimmering sounds call children to dance in their own creative ways to original music by Steve McLinn of OJAS . The fairy dancers of StarDanceSwan fancy a surprise for the ball that encourages everyone to spin in dreamy light and listen to the songs of summer.
The Location of this year’s Fairy Ball is in the Fairy Green at Dewey and 28, just west of the Paseo Grill. The Fairy Ball begins at 7:00 PM with Flower Magic. At 8:00 PM the dance begins with a performance by StarDanceSwan. Following the performance children, parents and friends join the dancing until 9:00 PM. Free to the public, the Fairy Ball is supported by the Kirkpatrick Family Fund and Paseo Art Association. |
