PASEO ARTS PRESS RELEASE |
The Paseo Arts District has much to SEE in March
Oklahoma City, OK - It is the year of the Paseo and this month, March, our resolution is ‘SEE’. The Paseo Arts District invites you to see a variety of art displayed in more than 20 galleries, all within walking distance and set within the Spanish architecture of Oklahoma City’s historic Paseo.
The March First Friday Gallery Walk, March 5, will also offer an opportunity to see the Ghostlight Theatre Club performing “The Real Thing” by Tom Stopped, March 5-27. The show is about a successful playwright wondering if his love for another woman is "the real thing", as well as if his art has an influence to life. The play begins at eight in the evening and features local actors and actresses.
This month the Paseo Art Space features the work of Sam Botkin whose art will captivate your eyes. "I have learned a great deal by watching young people create their art and in the past few years I have worked hard to develop my innate desire to paint like a child," Botkin said. An artist who first was a high school math teacher now expressing himself through oil paintings.
In addition to seeing Botkin’s work on the First Friday Gallery Walk it is also a great opportunity to see local artists work. Each artist opens their gallery to guest to enjoy their art work, eat treats and have a wine tasting all for free.
Paseo is where art and history come alive, over 75 artists, more than 20 galleries, all within walking distance, are outlined in Spanish architecture and a unique atmosphere. Some of the best dining and shopping experiences add to the flavor of the area. For more information about the Paseo Arts District call 405.525.2688 or visit www.thepaseo.com.
